Art and feature work:
a model split into
parts we can build

Any workshop can cut a shape. The work is deciding where it separates, proving that seam at full size, and engineering the point it hangs from.

Fabricated in 304 or 316L in our own factory in Foshan, then trial-assembled before packing.

What an art package is

A 3D model or a sculptor's drawing, turned into a real object that can be cut, welded, moved and hung without visible compromise.

ElementWhat it isHard partWhat we control
Sculptural formA shape with no flat referenceCut from a model, formed, welded, dressed.Splitting a smooth surface into parts without a seam showing in the wrong place.Seam placed by us, then approved
Mirror-polished objectAny form finished to a mirrorPolished progressively to a mirror, welded first.Mirror shows every departure from the form. Nothing hides. No visible weld, no orange peel
Feature screenLarge decorative panel or arrayLaser-cut sheet or tube, framed, sometimes structural. It usually has to be structural enough to stand up and thin enough to look absent.Aperture ±1 mm
Suspended pieceAnything hung from the slabFabricated form with an engineered hanging point.Load path must be designed, not improvised on site.Hanging detail drawn and approved

How an art piece runs

Short in steps, long in argument. Most of the time goes into agreeing where the seams go.

What goes wrong with art

We choose where the seam goes

The split plan is made with the model open, so seams land on curvature changes rather than across the visible face.

If skippedA seam is placed where the sheet happens to be 1500 mm wide, and it runs straight through the part people photograph.

A full-size seam is prototyped

One junction is made at 1:1 in the final finish before the piece is built.

If skippedA seam that looked fine in a render is a 1 mm step in mirror polish, and the whole piece is re-made.

The hanging point is engineered

Load path, fixing type and slab capacity are drawn and signed before fabrication.

If skippedThe piece arrives, the slab cannot take the anchor, and a 400 kg object waits on the floor for a structural answer.

Photographs for art work

Art photography is about the object, not the room. These four are one piece, from the rib cage to the trial assembly.
