Sixteen pieces,
no two alike,
nothing to amortise

The opposite of a retail roll-out. No template, no repetition, no economies of scale — every piece needs its own drawing, jig and trial fit.

Material recorded per job: 304 or 316L, fabricated and trial-assembled in our Foshan factory.

01

The job

A private clubhouse: sixteen pieces, every one different. A stair screen, two reception elements, a fireplace surround, bathroom fittings, and a set of feature objects.

No template, no repetition, no economies of scale. The opposite of the retail file.

Why it is a case file

Because it shows what happens when there is nothing to amortise: every piece needs its own drawing, its own jig and its own trial fit, and the schedule is a list of individual decisions.

02

The four photographs

This file is being re-shot. What exists today is the trial fit, which is the part that matters most.

The wide view and the finished piece are still being cleared with the owner. We do not publish a case file with two photographs — ask and we will send the set privately.

03

The record

Brief
Sixteen one-off pieces for a private clubhouse. No repeat parts.
Drawings
Sixteen drawing sets. Each piece needed its own 1:5 nodes, because nothing could be reused.
Jigs
Individual jigs per piece. The cost is real and was quoted per piece, not hidden in a rate.
Trial fit
All sixteen assembled together on the floor, because several pieces meet each other even though none repeats.
Finish
Mixed brush and mirror, decided per piece and recorded.
On site
Zero rework.
Delay
Two pieces re-made after trial fit — mirror seams that did not close.

Figures in this record are being confirmed with the client before publication and are marked in the drawing set. We publish a case file only when the numbers can be checked — a wrong job record is a factual error, not a typo.

04

What we would do differently

Quote one-offs per piece, never per square metre

Every piece was priced with its own drawing and jig hours.

If skippedA rate per square metre on one-off work guarantees a loss, and the loss gets recovered by skipping the trial fit.

Trial-fit the whole set together

Sixteen pieces that do not repeat still meet each other.

If skippedPiece-by-piece trial fitting misses the four junctions where two one-offs meet.

Mirror seams prototyped before the piece

Where a mirror seam was planned, a full-size section was made first.

If skippedTwo pieces were re-made because a seam that looked acceptable in a render was a 1 mm step in mirror.

Your job will look
nothing like these.
Send it anyway.

Case files are here to show how we work, not what we make. Every job starts from your drawing, and the first thing you get back is a list of problems.
