A factory visit in two hours
beats ten documents
about it

A factory visit is the only check a trading company cannot pass. Come and look at the machines, the trial-fit bay and the records — and bring a drawing so the visit has a purpose.

Our own factory in Foshan, working 304 and 316L stainless steel since 2007.

01

What the two hours look like

The order is deliberate: your drawing first, the machines afterwards.

00:00

Office — your drawing on the table

Sales engineer + detailer

The question list, in writing, before you leave.

00:30

Drawing office

Detailer

You see how a sheet becomes a cut list.

00:50

Laser and press brake

Production planner

You see the tolerance the machines actually hold.

01:20

Welding and finishing

Finishing lead

You see a weld before and after the linisher.

02:00

Trial-fit area

QC

You see a whole job standing up, if one is in the bay.

The trial-fit bay is the reason to come. It is the largest single space in the building, and on most days something is standing in it with the parts numbered. If nothing is in it on your date, we will tell you before you book.

02

What to bring

  • A drawing, even a rough one. Hand-drawn is fine if the dimensions are on it.
  • A finish reference — a physical sample if you have one, a photograph if you do not.
  • Site dimensions, if you have measured. A measured wall beats a structural drawing every time.
  • The date the parts have to be on site. Not the date you would like. The date after which the programme fails.
  • Your questions, written down. The ones asked from memory are the ones that come back by email a week later.

We will keep a copy of anything you leave with us and return it at the end of the visit. Nothing is photographed without asking.

What we cannot show you

Three things are off the tour, and it is better to say so here than to be asked in the corridor:

  • Another client's parts. Anything covered by an NDA is roped off or covered. We will tell you what is under the sheet, not who it is for.
  • The inside of the PVD chamber. The line runs to a recipe and the chamber is under vacuum during a batch. You can see the loading end and the colour record.
  • Someone else's prices. Not on a screen, not on a job card, not in passing.

If a job in the trial bay belongs to another client, we will say so and walk around it. If you want to see a specific kind of work — a curved bar front, a coffered ceiling, a mirror-polished column — say so when you book and we will try to have one in the building.

Book it

Email stone@bogeqi.com with three dates that work and the name of the person travelling. We confirm within 48 hours, and we confirm the trial-fit situation at the same time.

Visits run Monday to Saturday, 09:00 to 17:00 GMT+8. A Saturday visit is quieter, which is better if you want to talk without machines running, and worse if you want to see the line at full speed.

Three dates.

Tell us who is travelling and what you want to see. If the trial-fit bay is empty on your date, we will say so before you book a flight.
