One drawing per opening
Twelve openings get twelve drawings, from twelve surveys.
If skippedA drawing per type means eleven openings get packed out, and the packing is what deforms the shadow line.
Three trades arrive at the same opening. The lift door must travel freely, and the surround must look as if the wall was built around it.
Grades quoted are 304 and 316L; other grades are sourced to order and named in the quote. Cut and finished in our own factory in Foshan.
A three-sided frame around a lift opening, with a return that sets the shadow line, fixed without visible screws and removable for service.
It is a small part made to a tight number, in a place three trades arrive at once: the lift installer, the plasterer and us. The lift door has to travel freely; the wall has to look like the surround was set into it.
Because structural openings are built to structural tolerances. We have measured openings 18 mm from the drawing on the same floor as one that was exact. A standard surround means the difference is absorbed by sealant or by a wedge-shaped shadow gap.
| Property | Figure | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Thickness | 0.8–2.0 mm | 1.5 mm is typical for a lobby surround |
| Form | Three-sided, folded returns | Assembled and squared before packing |
| Square | 1 mm over 2.2 m | Checked on the diagonal, both ways |
| Reveal width | From the survey | Set from measured wall thickness, not nominal |
| Fixing | Concealed, serviceable | Must come off without damaging the finish |
| Clearance | Per lift maker | We work to their drawing, not ours |

Three sides are joined and squared on the floor.
If skippedCorners cut separately meet open on site and get filled — on the part everyone touches.
We ask the lift maker for their clearance, in writing.
If skippedThe surround obstructs the door leaf at one point of travel and is cut on site to clear it.

Grade and finish are a specification. Whether two panels meet cleanly, in one colour, with no cutting on site, is the job.
