A 26 m ceiling run
where every corner
meets 210 times

The most repetitive-looking element we make, and the least forgiving: four corners per coffer, all of them visible, none of them hideable.

Material recorded per job: 304 or 316L, fabricated and trial-assembled in our Foshan factory.

The job

A coffered ceiling over a lounge: 210 m² of pressed and folded coffers, with concealed lighting in the reveals, and one 26 m run that had to read as a single surface.

Why it is a case file

Because a coffered ceiling is four corners per coffer, and every corner has to meet the next one at the same width. It is the most repetitive-looking and least forgiving element we make.

The record

Brief
Coffered ceiling, 210 m², concealed lighting in the reveals, one 26 m run.
Coffers
Pressed and folded, each corner joined and checked on the floor before packing.
Corner gap
2 mm ±0.5 mm across the run, measured at every corner, not sampled.
Lighting
Channel in the reveal, dimension set from the fixture supplier's drawing, not assumed.
Finishing
Brushed, one batch, so no coffer is a different tint from its neighbour.
On site
Zero field cuts. Two coffers re-made before packing for corner gap.
Delay
None.

Figures in this record are being confirmed with the client before publication and are marked in the drawing set. We publish a case file only when the numbers can be checked — a wrong job record is a factual error, not a typo.

What we would do differently

Every coffer corner is joined, never cut separately

Corners are assembled flat and checked against a straight edge.

If skippedCorners cut separately arrive open by 4 mm, and the light in the reveal shows every single one.

The lighting channel is drawn from the fixture

We ask for the actual fixture drawing, not a nominal 40 mm.

If skippedThe channel is 5 mm too narrow, the fixture does not fit, and the reveal is modified on site with a grinder.

One finish batch for all coffers

All 210 m² plated together.

If skippedA later batch for replacements is a different tint, and it sits in the middle of a 26 m run.

Your job will look
nothing like these.
Send it anyway.

Case files are here to show how we work, not what we make. Every job starts from your drawing, and the first thing you get back is a list of problems.
