The form
Nine fields. An email address or a phone number is enough — you do not need both.
What we need to quote properly
Everything below is optional for a first reply and necessary for a real price.
| Item | Why it changes the number |
|---|---|
| Drawing or sketch | Dimensions on a drawing are a specification. Dimensions in an email are a guess. |
| Material grade | 304 and 316L weld differently and cost differently. 316L is the right answer outdoors and near the sea. |
| Finish and reference | Brush, mirror or PVD. A photograph helps; a physical sample decides. |
| Quantity and part count | Ten parts and a thousand parts do not price the same per unit. |
| Date on site | The date drives the schedule, and the schedule drives the price. |
| Destination | Packing and freight change with the port and with how the crate is handled. |
| Tolerance | A tighter tolerance is a second operation, and second operations are quoted. |

What happens after you send it
Within one business day
The reply comes from the drawing office, not from an auto-responder. It says what we can price today and what we cannot price until we have seen more.
If the drawing is incomplete
We send the question list instead of a number. A price against a drawing with missing dimensions is a figure you will have to renegotiate later, so we would rather not issue one.
If the date on site is tight
Put the date in the first message. The schedule is worked backwards from it, and the honest answer is sometimes that the date does not fit the queue.
